12TH & SEA started with my own personal journey to finding self-love. More than a decade ago, it was very hard for me to find the confidence within myself to wear the things I wanted to wear without the fear of judgement from others; due to the fact that I have struggled with acne that left behind severe hyperpigmentation all over my face and body. This led me to be very self conscious about my appearance, believing that summer was the worst season. Only because I was so ashamed of my skin and how it made me feel. From an adolescent age, I felt like I was at a disadvantage, I was literally a prisoner in my own body! Up until the day I found out I was pregnant with my baby girl, Sydney aka (baby SEA). I told myself, I couldn’t live like this anymore…in shame, all because of my skin. Something had to change and that something was that I was now responsible in raising a little girl. That thought, alone gave me reason to not only accept my flaws but to learn how to love and appreciate my God given body, while also finding the courage to change my eating habits and figuring out a skincare routine that worked. 12TH & SEA was created for the awakened woman who exudes confidence, knows her worth, is comfortable in her skin regardless of the flaws, and is unapologetic about it, for the woman who chooses to put herself first! For me, 12TH and SEA is about a lot more than what’s covered. It’s about the strength and courage to show what isn’t! Girl, put that bikini on and own it!
